challenge the leaders
to duplicate it? I
want to have guest
teachers demonstrate
a favorite step series
of theirs, and challenge
leaders to duplicate
it with a partner of
their choice. It
was so much fun, I
have wanted to do this
for a long time---so
soon we will begin!
Reminder
of basic rules---
Excellent followers
will be provided
by ESMERALDA and
randomly assigned
to the contestants.

YORK CITY “
This will be a rare
opportunity to see
this very beautifully
filmed documentary
about our community
by the Argentine
filmmaker, Hugo ZIMMER,
who will be present
to discuss his work.
Two members and organizers
in our tango community
have reviewed it for
us. Here are their
enthusiastic responses:
Coco Arregui: ‘It
is about a fabulous
slice of the New York
City’s tango
community and it is
very, very professional.”
Rick Castro: “It
is terrific! It takes
a dynamic look at parts
of this city’s
tango scene.”
They
report that the film
features a very large
number of members of
the community! The
film was made in 2003.

Mr Zimmer leaves for
Buenos Aires immediately
after this showing,
so this could be your

his work. Due to legal
complications in releasing
the film, it might
